FRIENDLY FEBRUARY (https://gallery.mailchimp.com/e2d39506a7a20e224ef6aaa5b/files/Friendly_Feb_poster_2.pdf)
Dear Green thumbed friends,
There are still loads of people who have never visited the Mullumbimby Community Garden so as a public awareness campaign we have decided to host “Friendly February”.

We are encouraging every member or registered volunteer to bring their neighbours, family and friends to the garden in February,
just to check out how amazing the gardens are.

Step 1: Sign in your guests in the visitors book (at the main noticeboard) and
Step 2: ask them to write their comments about the garden.

The person who brings the most visitors to the garden will win a bunch of great prizes
The visitors will also go into a draw and win some great prizes. To see these prizes and more info click HERE (https://gallery.mailchimp.com/e2d39506a7a20e224ef6aaa5b/files/Friendly_Feb_poster_2.pdf) for the flier

We hope that your guests will be so inspired that they will decide to support the gardens by becoming a member (Individual would be just $16, family $24 till the end of the financial year – then $48 or $72 annually after that) or to register as a volunteer but this
IS NOT mandatory for the competition.

So get out there and show off your Mullumbimby Community Garden.

P.S We did win Australia’s Community Garden of the Year 2014 so we are allowed to boast about what we have created together.
Have fun!

Jeannette Martin, one of our current Mullum S.E.E.D Board Members
(and previously Principal Co-ordinator for the last 7 years) is undertaking a crowd funding campaign called Dynamic Governance.

She is aiming to raise the course fees for a Diploma in Governance in the Community Sector and also to replace her very tired old laptop computor.

The Diploma qualification will add to her 15 years of volunteering experience with community groups and enable her to offer her skills and knowledge to assist individuals, groups and organisations (including Mullum S.E.E.D.) with their Governance and Project Managment issues.

For further details go the Dynamic Governance in the Social Enterprise section at Chuffed.org.

To donate via Paypal or credit card go directly to https://chuffed.org/project/dynamicgovernance/

or call her on 0412 322 255 to find out more.

Site Management Meetings
For all those who are actively involved in ongoing projects on a regular basis at the gardens, (POD members, FFA gardeners, Social Enterprize owners, Daily Supervisors, regular Educators) we would like to invite you and encourage you to attend our monthly Site Management meetings. This is an opportunity for you to communicate your projects needs and to keep informed and in touch with the team on the ground. Our next meeting will be held on Sat 28th February, at 2pm-3.30pm (sharp) in the Rotunda. Hope to see you there 🙂
